Terms of service
RENTAL AGREEMENT & TERMS OF SERVICE FOR MOOVER TOTES LLC
Revised September 2026
By placing an order, completing payment, accepting delivery, or using our rental equipment, you (“Customer”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Rental Agreement & Terms of Service.
1. Rental Period
The rental period begins on the scheduled delivery date and continues through the rental dates and duration selected at the time of booking.
Customers may use the equipment through the final day of their rental period. Pickup will occur on the scheduled pickup date provided with the reservation. Pickup time will be communicated to the Customer prior to pickup.
Delivery and pickup times are not guaranteed. Any delivery or pickup window provided is an estimated service window and may be affected by traffic, weather, route conditions, or other circumstances.
2. Equipment Responsibility, Condition & Replacement
The Customer assumes responsibility for all totes, lids, dollies, hand trucks, and other rented equipment upon delivery and remains responsible until the equipment has been successfully retrieved by Moover Totes LLC.
Equipment must be returned:
- Empty and reasonably clean
- With corresponding lids
- Free of excessive dirt, debris, liquids, odors, stains, or contamination
- In substantially the same condition in which it was delivered, ordinary wear and tear excepted. Moover Totes LLC reserves the right to determine what constitutes ordinary wear and tear.
Equipment returned with excessive smoke or tobacco residue, cannabis or vape residue, mold, mildew, pet or food waste, grease, oil, chemicals, spills, mud, permanent stains, or other unsanitary substances may be considered damaged if the condition prevents the equipment from being reasonably returned to service.
The Customer is responsible for equipment that is lost, stolen, destroyed, damaged, excessively dirty, contaminated, or otherwise not returned in the condition required under this Agreement.
The following replacement charges may apply:
- Moving Tote + Lid: $10 each
- Tote Dolly: $40 each
- Other rented equipment: Replacement cost stated at checkout or the reasonable replacement cost at the time of loss.
Applicable cleaning, damage, or replacement charges may be processed using the payment method associated with the reservation or issued to the Customer by invoice, as permitted by applicable law and the Customer's payment authorization.
3. Rental Extensions, Late Returns & Failed Pickup
Customers needing additional rental time must contact Moover Totes LLC by email or phone at least 24 hours before the end of the rental period. Additional upfront payment will be required to continue the rental. Extensions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
If equipment is retained beyond the agreed rental period without an approved extension, additional daily or weekly rental charges may be assessed based on the package rented.
All equipment must be empty, accessible, consolidated, and ready for collection on the scheduled pickup date. Unless otherwise arranged, equipment must be located near the front door at the agreed pickup address and accessible without requiring entry into a residence.
A pickup may be considered failed if equipment is still packed or in use, cannot be located, is inside a locked or inaccessible area, access is blocked, equipment has been moved without approval, the Customer is unavailable when their presence is required, or pets, vehicles, or other conditions prevent safe access.
A $10 failed-pickup fee may be charged along with applicable rental-extension charges. If the Customer fails to communicate regarding the missed pickup, additional charges may occur for failure to return the equipment.
Equipment remaining unreturned for 7 days after the return date may be considered lost or unreturned, and applicable replacement charges may be assessed.
Payment of extension, late, or replacement charges does not transfer ownership of the equipment to the Customer or necessarily prevent Moover Totes LLC from pursuing other remedies available under applicable law for unpaid amounts or unreturned property.
4. Delivery, Pickup & Property Access
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery and pickup information and ensuring that the property can be safely accessed.
The Customer must disclose conditions that could reasonably interfere with service, including restricted access, gated communities, apartment access requirements, stairs, construction, unusually narrow roads, or other obstacles.
Moover Totes LLC reserves the right to refuse or delay delivery or pickup when conditions are unsafe or could reasonably cause injury or property or vehicle damage.
The delivery and pickup addresses must be disclosed during checkout. Rental equipment may not be transported to a pickup address different from the address provided with the reservation without prior approval.
Additional delivery-area charges may apply if the delivery or pickup location falls outside the service area or materially changes the originally scheduled route.
When the Customer authorizes unattended delivery or pickup, the Customer accepts responsibility for the equipment upon delivery to the agreed location and remains responsible until it has been collected by Moover Totes LLC. The Customer is responsible for ensuring the location is secure and suitable.
Moover Totes LLC is not responsible for theft, loss, weather exposure, or damage occurring after an unattended delivery has been completed.
5. Proper & Safe Use
Rental totes and moving equipment are intended for normal household and moving purposes and must be used with reasonable care.
Totes may not be used to store or transport hazardous or toxic materials, fuels or flammable materials, corrosive chemicals, leaking liquids or paint, medical or biological waste, human or pet waste, illegal substances or property, extremely hot materials, or anything likely to permanently stain, puncture, damage, or contaminate the equipment.
Totes, dollies, and hand trucks must not be overloaded beyond a weight that can be safely handled or beyond any manufacturer-rated capacity.
Dollies and hand trucks must be used only for their intended purpose. Do not allow children to ride on equipment or use rented moving equipment for recreational purposes.
Customers are responsible for injuries or damage resulting from improper use, packing, overloading, unbalanced loads, or improper stacking.
6. Personal Property & Assumption of Risk
Customers are solely responsible for packing, securing, loading, transporting, unloading, and protecting their belongings.
Our totes are rental containers and do not constitute insurance or protection against damage to Customer property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moover Totes LLC is not responsible for damage to items placed inside totes, including damage caused by shifting, improper packing, moisture, temperature, impact, loading, transportation, or storage.
Customers should not place irreplaceable valuables, important documents, cash, jewelry, or other unusually valuable property inside unattended totes.
Moving and handling loaded totes, dollies, and moving equipment involves inherent risks, including lifting injuries, falling objects, shifting loads, slips, trips, falls, and property damage. The Customer assumes the risks associated with their use of rented equipment and is responsible for using the equipment safely and appropriately.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Moover Totes LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the rental or use of its equipment.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Moover Totes LLC arising from a rental transaction shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the applicable rental.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be waived or limited.
8. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Reservations reserve equipment and route capacity specifically for the Customer.
- More than 24 hours before delivery: Full refund
- Less than 24 hours before delivery: Non-refundable
Delivery dates may be rescheduled subject to equipment and route availability.
9. Weather & Service Delays
Delivery or pickup may be delayed or rescheduled because of severe weather, unsafe road or property conditions, vehicle issues, emergencies, or circumstances reasonably outside our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant schedule changes.
A reasonable service delay caused by circumstances outside our control does not automatically entitle the Customer to additional free rental time or compensation.
10. Payment Authorization
The Customer agrees to pay all rental charges and other amounts properly incurred under this Agreement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law and the Customer's payment authorization, the Customer authorizes Moover Totes LLC to charge the payment method associated with the reservation for amounts due under this Agreement, including:
- Rental charges
- Approved extensions
- Late-return charges
- Failed-pickup fees
- Cleaning or contamination charges
- Missing or damaged equipment
- Replacement charges
- Other agreed charges
Where reasonably practicable, Moover Totes LLC will provide notice or documentation regarding additional charges.
11. Photographs & Documentation
Moover Totes LLC may photograph rental equipment at delivery and pickup to document quantity, condition, placement, damage, or completion of service. Such documentation may be used to resolve disputes regarding missing or damaged equipment.
12. Customer Information
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate contact, delivery, pickup, and access information.
Changes to phone numbers, addresses, access instructions, delivery locations, or pickup locations should be communicated promptly.
Additional charges may apply when incorrect or changed information results in an unsuccessful or substantially altered delivery or pickup.
13. Governing Terms & Acceptance
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
These Terms, together with the Customer's reservation and any policies incorporated at checkout, constitute the agreement between the Customer and Moover Totes LLC concerning the rental.
If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
By placing an order, completing checkout, accepting delivery, or using the rental equipment, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Rental Agreement & Terms of Service.
